Proudly handcrafted in the USA, this unfinished Red Alder soap dish is made from reclaimed end scraps from wood mills. Red Alder is a highly durable and water resistant wood that functions exceptionally well as a natural wood soap dish. I recommend you purchase TWO of these. Each one comes with a free, 100% cotton, handmade, random color, terry wash cloth. Right now we are using the lovely yellow ones for spring time!
A fine wooden soap dish significantly extends the life of your handcrafted bar of soap. The maker of these fine soaps says, "Use your soap dishes in pairs to extend the life of the dish - use one dish for 2-3 weeks, and then switch it out with the second dish while allowing the first dish to completely dry out while you are using the second dish for 2-3 weeks. Doing this will prevent mold and mildew from developing and growing on your dish and greatly extend the life of the dish".
It will fit up to two large (6.5oz) soaps or three average (4oz) sized soaps. Let your soaps dry completely after using. Do NOT let them sit in water. DO NOT keep this near running water or on puddles of water. I always take mines into the shower & when I'm done I take it out to let it dry, undisturbed till next use.
If you are interested in an even smaller one for your facial soaps or conditioner bars (coming very very soon), let me know. I also have these at a lower price.

You need this for your soap bar, hands down. I keep my bar and my daughters bar on 1. It doesn't allow your soap to touch the bath , which I like, I can keep it outside my shower or take my soap with me if I travel too. Super convenient!
All prices are in USD.
